The phone is secure over rough roads and with the case on; I am not worried if it falls in the car. Overall a great value compared to many other universal smartphone car docks. I can easily plug my car charger into the phone, and also the aux cable to listen to my music or podcasts. I use this every single day, and I wouldn’t do that if it was a pain.

I prefer the windshield mount over the vent mount because it’s easier for me to see the phone and the windshield mount is more secure. It stays in place and keeps my phone steady. I like the adjustable design so that it works with my iPhone 4 in many different case designs. All the buttons and dock charger are available.

I looked all around town for a holder for my new Droid X when used it as my GPS navigator. With a protective case around the Droid X, the standard windshield mount available from Verizon would not work. The holder can adjust the size so it will work for most smartphones. There are a plenty of room on both the top and the bottom for cables. Can turn phone to landscape view by just turning while in the mount. It doesn’t bounce too much while driving.

They’re still soft enough to provide a good grip without being too tight. The push button release for the ratcheting arms is quick and easy to use, and so far hasn’t released unprompted. I haven’t used the dash mount, just the mount for the vent. The clips haven’t yet come off of the vents in my Toyota Sienna yet (it’s been 3 months) and is easy to adjust the position or angle of it, along with adjusting the width to insert and remove my phone. The other seller was selling the exact same product with only one of the mounts for an additional $5, so this is a great deal compared to other sellers. I purchased this for my Droid Incredible and it fits perfectly, with the Otterbox case that I have for it.

I would recommend this as a good universal mount. I also had to call customer service for a replacement piece (damaged in shipping) and they couldn’t have been nicer or more efficient. I’ve gone through a lot of these things, and trust me you’re getting a great deal here. I haven’t had any problems with it coming unstuck or anything, it seems pretty solid as a rock once it’s on the windshield. My phone fits in the holder perfect and doesn’t feel like it will fall out. I would definitely recommend! I remedied this by adjusting the joint so that the phone is already as far down as it can go and aimed at me. Doing that limits the places I can aim the phone, but I don’t typically adjust it while driving so it’s not that big of a deal. I tried out the vent mount a couple of times, and it just doesn’t seem to work. Maybe it’s my car (Accord 2001) but it just doesn’t want to stay in the vent.
